Reflection
My contribution to the second project
Just like every other group member, my contribution towards the success of this project started at the grass root level, We had multiple brainstorming session to come up with the best technology that would bring out the best teamwork from all of us. Each ideas and thoughts were evaluated. Once we settled on the type of technology we wanted to use, my contribution shifted towards utilizing my certain set of technical engineering skills to make the project standout. I was tasked with a part of the literature review as well as using my knowledge on autocad to construct the PFD and PID of our technology. I believe each and every one of us put a great amount of effort to make each part of the project we were responsible of amazing, which in total contributed to the success of the project.
Reflection on PSLP
I never really realized the importance of this subject at the beginning but as time went on I started to look forward to learning in Dr. Zul’s classes. The laboratory sessions was also beneficial, the GA’s conducting the experiments were really knowledgeable and the viva session were an eye opener to the hazards and risks of working in a chemical industry.
Reflection on CPDIC
Gratitude is due to god and my lecturers Dr Abbas Azarpour Hassankiadeh and Dr Haslinda for dragging me through this subject all semester long. I remain optimistic about his subject with the finals looming.
Reflection on KRD
I really had to adapt to the teaching methods of Dr Tazli Azizan as his method were something we were not used to. It took a great amount of effort, but once you get use to his methods, the learning experience is extremely conducive. Classes no longer seemed like a burden.
Reflection on the second group project
I believe the timing of the project was slightly inconvenient. It felt like we were just done with the first project and had time to concentrate on our tests, quizzes and assignments and up pops group project number two. Most of us were torn between focusing on the project or our tests, quizzes and assignments. Hence to compensate for the amount of work we had and the short period of time to complete it, many of us did not give a 100% on the work we did. It actually goes against what I believe in which was to always give 100% on something I did and it disappointed me to the core. Deep down I felt I could do a better job than I did on this project. Having said all this, it taught me an extremely valuable lesson that life is not all paradise and sometimes you just have to buckle up and face the plethora of problems even if it is all at the same time. I came out a better person from this second project.
