The project
Honestly sir, the project this time got us really tired and it is really squeezed us out of our brain juice. We started off clueless and somehow we managed to pull it through but I still think that we couldn’t fully comprehend the situational task we were expected to understand. It got a little hard and stressful at times as we had so much more things to work on at the same time. Maybe it’s true when they say that when the going gets tough, the tough gets going so thank you again sir for this very novel project. I would have never in my life done something so cool and something so stressful at the same time. Haha! J
My contribution towards the project
Initially as we were all clueless about where to start, we had to hold up many meetings to get a better idea of what we actually had to do for this project. I believe I was the one who had initiated these meetings most of the times. I also attended the Hysys class together with my group mates to be able to understand Hysys better to be used later in our project. Later on for the first half of the project, I was in-charge of developing the mass balance together with Zulaika. The process of coming up with the equations and balancing them out was truly totally mind-boggling. Zulaika and I never felt so clueless in our lives ever before. But thanks to great back-up from my group mates we managed to complete it somehow. Yuwaraaj, Avieneish and Govinash were of great help especially during times of need and at the end, we completed the mass balance together. During the second half of the project, my job was to create a Preezi presentation for all the chapters studied in PSLP and KRD. This was my first time using Preezi and it was fun at the beginning but when you have to do it for like sooo many chapters, it gets kinda tiring. Nonetheless I believe that I am now a pro in Preezi, thanks to the numerous practises I’ve had. All in all, though tiring, I believe this project forced us out of our comfort zones and taught us that there is more to life that just lectures and text books.
KRD
The lectures were something I was always looking forward to. Thank you, Dr Tazli for making every class different. I was very much impressed with the technology aided learning method and truly, it was something that not only gave us the drive to attend classes but also kept us awake throughout lectures. Your fist class itself was a bam! And I think I really liked the online approach of lectures and quizzes as we can do it at our own comfort and leisure times.
CPDIC
Dr Haslinda was a very charming lecturer who taught the subject very well. I could understand process controls better and I hope to be able to do a better job for my upcoming tests. Her approach of calling names were scary sometimes but it drove us to always be prepared and I think that made the whole learning process more fun.
PSLP
Dr Dzul’s awesomeness never reduced a bit. Thanks sir for the very engaging classes. He is a totally cool lecturer who not only understands us well but also one who ‘follows the flow’ I would say. Hopefully his cool method of teaching sticks off on us a little on us as we embrace the harder challenges ahead.
