About GENSHIRO On the high peak of Mount Fuji lived an honorable and wise sage, affectionately referred to as Sifu Shokubutsu by his disciples. He was the grand protector of the great Genshiro for centuries. Being a divine sage, he always looked forward to sharing his chemical engineering theories, philosophies and concepts with his young disciples. Among his disciple was a bright eyed, brilliant student called Takeshi Senju. Senju had a gift for engineering. He was the smartest of all the disciples and as a result Sifu Shokubutsu was very fond of Senju. Sifu Shokubutsu knew the future held great triumphs for Senju and the young student’s knowledge and passion for engineering would help the betterment of mankind. As fate would have it, the future is no one’s master, not even Sifu Shokubutsu. As Senju grew older he started to focus his attention and talents on creating reactors of mass destruction. In the end, Sifu Shokubutsu had no choice but to banish his prodigy from the mountains and never to return! Senju took a vow that day, to seek revenge on his mentor, to destroy the great Genshiro and to bring the whole of the human race to its knees…

How To Play
SETUP
1. The board game is set up to start the game. Players roll the dice to see who starts the game. Then players then get to pick which lady bug they prefer and place the ladybugs at any starting point.
2. Sort the characteristic pack cards in four: flow rate, reactor, temperature and pressure. Shuffle each group separately and place each face down on the table. The game master will have to choose ONE card of each characteristic and put the selected cards into the envelope. The envelope is then placed inside GENSHIRO and sealed. Those are the cards that should be discovered later in the game.
3. The remainder cards are shuffled again together this time and deal them face down around the table clockwise or anti clockwise. (it doesn’t matter if some players receive more cards than the others. Secretly look at your own cards. Because they’re in your hands, they can’t be in the confidential envelope.
4. Each player is provided with a GENSHIRO detective notebook sheet. Secretly check off the cards that are in your hands, if you wish. Make sure not to reveal your cards to other players as they will stand a higher chance of winning the game.
5. Once all players have checked of their cards, the game begins.
GAMEPLAY
The focus of the game is to enter the six minor reactors to be able to do a guess of what are the characteristic of the GENSHIRO. Players are allowed to move any direction within the dice they rolled and before entering the reactor, they will have to answer ONE question card from the question card deck (Players are only allowed to enter the reactor through the DOOR). If players are able to answer the question, they will be able to enter the minor reactor and make a guess of the characteristic of the GENSHIRO.
For example:
Mia: I suggest that the flowrate is 50kg/s, the temperature is 90℃, the pressure is 1 atm and the reactor is PFR.
Players must now prove the suggestions made by Mia are true or false. The players who’s turn is next depending on clockwise/anti-clockwise has to check his/her cards and see if they have any characteristic that was suggested by Mia. If they have, they will have to show the ONE card secretly to Mia and Mia can check the card off her checklist as the card is not in the reactor. If the player does not have the cards, then the next player to him/her has to check their cards to see if they have it or not.
Note: Even though you have more than one card of Mia’s suggestion, you only show ONE depending on which one you want to Mia to see. Once one of the players have shown the card, the turn has end and the next player can roll the dice.
Note: If Mia’s suggestion is not proved wrong, she can make the assumption and proceed to open the envelope to check the cards.
If the cards predicted were true, Mia wins the game.
If the cards predicted were false, Mia is banned from continuing the game. She is required to reveal her cards to all players and leave the game.
The game goes on until at the person’s turn, he/she makes an assumption and proves that the assumption is right by revealing the cards inside the reactor. When that happens, take out all four cards and lay them face up to show the other players.
Important:
You are only allowed to make ONE suggestion each turn.
Question cards range from easy to difficult and chance and fate cards are provided if youre feeling lucky!!!
Doors are provided for entry and exit and players must only enter and exit through the doors.
Answering Questions
Players have to answer the questions that are provided before entering the reactors.
The game master has to time the players for answering the questions with the timer provided.
For question with facts or understanding – 2 minutes
For calculation/ derivation – 4 minutes
If players fail to answer the question within the provided time, players are not allowed to enter the reactor and their turn ends.
After taking each question cards, the card is then slipped at the bottom of the deck to avoid repetition of questions.
